After my descent into coma I have considered the effects thereof questioning nothingness. I now think of reality in different terms, perhaps everything is derived from consciousness. They say in quantum that matter requires consciousness to exist, perception to actualise a state. There is a school of thought that suggests all things including matter are derived from consciousness. Monist theory appeals to a coma victim, what exists without consciousness? I have become a Monist, matter is the friction of thought.

Quoting Jean-Paul Sartre “Life has no meaning a priori. Before you come alive, life is nothing; it’s up to you to give it a meaning”. We are conscious agents giving meaning. Monist theory goes further, there is no external world upon which to assign meaning. Matter is consciousness, including that chair your sitting on. We imagined matter for communication between conscious agents.
