The recent shootings in El Paso and Dayton America represent a global problem. People in the technological age are becoming less empathetic, it’s too easy to remain anonymous rather than be a connected human being.

Knife attacks are on the rise in the UK, as are expressions of violence globally. Perhaps partly a consequence of social media and the exchange of crazy ideas. It’s far to easy to get guns in the US hence they wear the brunt of the problem. We need to make ideological changes to our use of the internet, sure the exchange of ideas are mostly beneficial but perhaps not at the extremes.

Many say civilisation is a brittle thing, we could easily descend back into a disordered existence, survival of the fittest. Maybe what I say here are also bad ideas expressed in social media.
